Family Fun For Holiday Break

12/18/2014

Christmas break is a great time to spend quality family time and do fun things with the kids.  I try and plan things for just about everyday so my sons aren't bored and getting on each other's nerves... Or mine! ;) Some ideas for gross motor activities, if you have younger children, are places like Pump It Up and Randolph Gymnastics, both located in nearby Randolph, NJ.  Also, Clown Around in Flanders and Camp Iliff at the Rockaway Mall. These places are great for kids who like to jump, crawl and slide.  For older students, Fun Plex in East Hanover has go carts, Skee-ball, Laser Tag, and more.

Some more ideas for family fun are driving around looking at people's holiday lights, baking or doing crafts together, taking a walk around the neighborhood, window shopping at the mall, taking a train ride, visiting NYC to see the tree in Rockefeller Center, or going to see a play at a local theater such as Pax Amicus Castle Theater in Budd Lake.

Finally, Christmas break is a great time to arrange play dates for your little ones or socializing for your teenagers. It's also a great time for moms and dads to get together as well.

Happy Holidays to all and have fun! Jackie Giganti, Teacher, Celebrate the Children
