Does sport imitate life or does life imitate sport?

These are the rules in my Physical Education classes. They’re also pretty good rules for life.   Does sport imitate life or does life imitate sport?  I don’t have the answer, so the only thing we can do is to try and make sure our sports, and our lives are in integrity with each other.

• Be Respectful
  
• Be A Leader     
  
• Lose With A Smile; It Makes You A Winner
  
• Learn The Value Of Losing With Dignity and Winning With Humility
  
• Have Fun. It’s More Important Than Winning  
  
• Don’t Compare Yourself To Others
  
• Be Nice       
  
• Cheaters Don’t Win and Winners Don’t Cheat
  
• Don’t Believe In Outer Perfection-It’s A Myth! 
  
• Only Judge Yourself, Not Others
  
• Try Not To Take Things Personally
